EUROPE/SPAIN – INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON NEW - “ADULT LITERACY CLASSES: A CHALLENGE FOR EDUCATION IN THE 21ST CENTURY”

Madrid (Fides Service) – Adult literacy classes is a term which acquires a new dimension, as a synoen of integration. Society today is one of technology and scientific progress but the human person still plays a fundamental role as a regulating element for all relations. To meeting emerging needs the only answer is education. The aim of new adult literacy classes must be the development of people in different areas.
To identify ways of actuating this type of education and meeting the emerging needs of our day a special International Congress will be held 6 to 8 December at the Don Bosco Institute for Higher Studies in Humanity and Education Science (affiliated with Complutense University in Madrid) on the theme “New adult literacy classes: a challenge for education in the 21st century”,. About 300 participants will reflect on: “Science in society”; “technology of information and communication”; “Languages and new languages ”; “inter-personal relations”; “Meeting educational needs for integration”; “Intercultural relations”.
