Hong Kong (Agenzia Fides) - The radio can be a channel of evangelisation: this is the conviction of Hong Kong's Catholic associations and movements active in the field of evangelisation. According to the diocesan bulletin Kong Ko Bao, Charismatic Renewal launched a most successful initiative. A radio programme “Make your life shine, because life is wonderful -stories of tempests and calm seas” was followed by many listeners, Catholics and non. One CR member explained, “infidelity in marriage, gambling, money, love, illness, drug abuse are problems afflicting society today. Many people ask how these problems can be faced with the help of the Lord. We give the answer with the Gospel He gave us. Every live testimonial shared over the radio contains an element of love, things we can share. With love, sacrifice, prayer we help people heal their hearts”. Another example of evangelisation through the media comes from Fr Luke Tsui Kam Yiu, who runs a five minute programme on “FM 104 financial channel”. The programme is called “More than Money”. Every evening Monday to Friday he tells people that money is not everything, and above all money is not another name for happiness. (NZ) (Agenzia Fides 12/12/2007 - righe 24, parole 255)
