The meeting began with the presentation of its purpose: to outline a plan to include all the initiatives proposed for the Mission, at the local, diocesan and national level with the Bishops' Conferences. The participants will study the role of CELAM as continental animator of the Great Mission which must be of a permanent nature. They also examined handbooks published for preparatory meetings in view of the Conference in Aparecida, especially those treating missionary activity, as well as proposals made by work groups actually during the CELAM conference.
