AMERICA/ECUADOR - Towards CAM 3, Third American Mission Congress: Working Paper issued in Portuguese, presentation of official CAM 3 Hymn on December 4 as part of celebrations for 50th anniversary of the Fidei donum encyclical

Quito (Agenzia Fides) - In preparation for CAM 3, Third American Mission Congress to be held in Quito, Ecuador, 12-17 August 2008, the Congress Working Paper has been published in Portuguese, Fr Osvaldo Fierro, CAM 3 Executive secretary told Fides. The working paper in Portuguese has been published by the National Office of the Pontifical Mission Societies in Brazil under the guidance of National PMS Director Fr. Daniel Lagni, published the Working Paper in Portuguese considering it important in the process of preparation in Brazil for participation in CAM 3 and in preparation for Brazil's 2nd National Mission Congress to be held in Aparecida in May 2008. The Portuguese version of the working paper, published in 15,000 copies, has been distributed all over Brazil by diocesan PMS offices. The document will also be published on the official CAM 3 web site.
The CAM 3 web site also presents the CAM 3 Hymn "vital for the preparation of the Congress since it can be sung at events of pastoral and missionary nature, meetings, workshops, diocesan and national mission congresses etc." said Osvaldo Fierro. The CAM 3 executive commission has prepared a video clip of the Hymn which will be distributed all over the continent by the PMS national offices. The video clip will be presented officially on 4 December as part of celebrations in Ecuador to mark the 50th anniversary of the Fidei Donum encyclical.
