AMERICA/PERU- Caritas Peru and Continental Bank agreement to rebuild four schools for the benefit of two thousand pupils affected by earthquake

Callao (Agenzia Fides) - Caritas del Peru and the Foundation BBVA Banco Continentale have signed an agreement to collect funds to rebuild schools and provide pedagogical and psychological assistance for children in areas affected by the earthquake in southern Peru last August.
Funds donated to the Foundation BBVA Banco Continentale and offerings of solidarity will make it possible to rebuild Francisco Bolognesi Cervantes and Los Libertadores colleges in Pisco, and Hoja Redonda and Santa Teresita del Niño Jesús colleges in Chincha; and guarantee primary and secondary education for about a thousand pupils. The goal is for these colleges to educate two thousand children.
In this agreement “Attention for post earthquake education emergency ”, the Foundation BBVA Banco Continentale transfers funds to Caritas Peru which will oversee the programmes and the administration of the resources.
The new schools will have modern infrastructures and adequate installations for a good pedagogical service, including libraries, 40 classrooms, computer rooms, offices, bathrooms, school canteen, sports grounds.
