AFRICA/BURKINA FASO - Camillian Vice Province in Burkina Faso rejoices for religious profession of 14 young men

Monday, 17 September 2007

Ouagadougou (Agenzia Fides) - On 8 September in the solemn liturgical feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Camillian Vice Province in Burkina Faso lived a day of great joy and hope and confidence in the future.
At St. Camillo parish in Ouagadougou the Provincial Vicar, Fr François Sedgo received the perpetual and temporary vows of young men who decided to consecrate their lives to the Lord with vows of obedience, chastity and poverty, putting themselves totally at the service of others, first and foremost the poor and the needy and to care for people suffering from any disease even if it means endangering their life. This is what St. Camillo, their founder, asks of those who choose to follow him.
It is a source of great consolation and joy to see God's grace working in the hearts and how man, making good use of his freedom, is able to respond. This is why to the six young men of Burkina Faso who made their perpetual profession and the four from Burkina and another four from the Camillian delegation in Benin (one is from Togo) who made their temporary profession, we offer warmest congratulations and assure our prayers that they may always experience the joy of having given their life to God and to others; that they may be faithful to the decision for their personal happiness and for the Camillian Order which has welcomed them, and for the whole Church enriched with the generous offering of these young lives.(GG/AP) (17/9/2007 Agenzia Fides; Righe:21; Parole:258)
