AMERICA/CHILE - 16th National Youth Meeting: young communities, privileged places for learning to live as disciples and followers of Jesus Christ

Santiago del Cile (Agenzia Fides) - "Young communities, privileged places for living missionary discipleship" is the theme of the 16th National Youth Meeting which will bring together young leaders of youth groups from all over the country in Concepción 19-22 September to reflect on the life of youth communities as a privileged path for learning to live as disciples and followers of Jesus Christ.
The goals of the Meeting include: identify and reflect on elements which help create and consolidate a path to the encounter with Jesus and discipleship in the Church; discuss the role of the service of community leaders; intensify the dimensions of service, prayer and sacramental life of youth communities; celebrate 30 years of National Youth Pastoral; strengthen bonds of friendship among young members of different dioceses and movements.
Participants will include 10 young people per diocese as well as the diocesan youth delegate, five young people plus the national delegate for Church Movements present in 5 or more diocese and 3 young people per movement plus the national delegate for Movements present in less than 4 dioceses.
