EUROPE/ITALY - Renewal in the Holy Spirit: goals attained by 2007 Summer formation programme

Rome (Agenzia Fides) - “You will receive power from the Holy Spirit who will come down on you and you will be my witnesses …” (Acts 1,8) is the theme of a 6 day course in Spiritual exercises for priests, deacons and religious on the theme at the Casa del Pellegrino di Collevalenza (PG), 3-8 September, organised by the Movement of Renewal in the Holy Spirit RnS (Italy). Participants will include national RnS president Salvatore Martinez; don Guido Pietrogrande, RnS spiritual adviser; Rev Fulvio Di Fulvio, national head of diffusion.
The course, like others given during the Summer, highlights the positive result of RnS Formation Programme 2007. Ranging from the family to prayer, from animation for social commitment, the formation of the Movement has more than doubled the number of persons registered. About 1,500 people took part in the seven national schools for animators for the new members of pastoral service and RnS animators. The national ministerial school, held in Frascati (RM) 17 - 22 July, was attended by 200 regional delegates involved in spiritual animation and evangelisation. While 500 took part in specific courses organised at the Casa Famiglia di Nazareth, in Loreto, dedicated to families; and at the Centro Paolo VI in Gaver (BS) on methodologies of evangelisation.
