Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - The Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, on 28 August 2007, accepted the renunciation of the pastoral government of the diocese of Kibungo (Rwanda), presented by Bishop Frédéric Rubwejanga, in conformity with the Code of Canon Law, canon 401 § 1. The Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI also appointed as the new Bishop of Kibungo (Rwanda), Bishop Kizito Bahujimihigo until now Bishop of the diocese of Ruhengeri (Rwanda). (S.L.)
